Hurricane Dorian reaches the Bahmas with a wind speed of up to 295 km per hour. The inhabitants were evacuated and accommodated in emergency shelters. It can come to tidal waves up to 7 m height.

It is a matter of restoring the world's deforested and degraded forest resources.

The initiative operates worldwide. It was launched in 2011 by the Federal Government in Germany and the IUCN and confirmed and expanded at the UN Climate Summit in 2014. Following the current forest fires in South America, Siberia and Asia, the programme should be expanded further.
