Over 1000 earthquakes in less than a week and over 400 in the last 2 days! Askja is a volcano in the eastern Vuklang belt of Iceland. A large eruption took place on 29 March 1875. Ash clouds drifted as far as Norway and Sweden.

Australia hit by devastating forest fires
The affected area is almost 1 million hectares
