4.35 billion euros to be paid to power plant operators as compensation for the exit from coal
The Federal Government of Germany, the federal states and the operators of coal-fired power plants jointly adopted this in a special meeting
Last change: Isolde Moussot Date update: 17.01.2020 07:01
The timetable for the coal phase-out envisages a coal phase-out by 2038, or earlier if possible. The compensation payments to coal-fired power stations are paid from tax money and therefore by all of us.
Why is that?
With the compensation payments to coal-fired power stations, those who have caused the damage to our planet are compensated by those who suffer from it. But it should be the other way round!
